The Avoice (Against Violence to Overseas Chinese Women) Program is committed to helping overseas Chinese women who have suffered domestic violence, improving the living environment of overseas disadvantaged women, building a bridge for women to seek help and resources from all parties, and becoming their support system.
We emphasize self-empowerment of target female groups, by providing multi-dimensional support including covering language, psychology, law, medical care, shelters, channels, education, economy, speaking up, community support. We aim to form an environment of mutual assistance while extending the breadth of support at the same time.

We provide support for help-seekers who meet the following conditions: 1. You are suffering from domestic violence, sexual assault, sexual harassment and other violence against women; 2. You are an Asian woman; 3. You are currently living overseas
We define "violence against women" to be "any gender-based act of violence, whether in public or private life, that causes or is likely to cause physical, sexual or mental harm or suffering to a woman, including the threat of such acts, forced or arbitrary deprivation of liberty”.
Common types: 1. Physical harm (e.g. assault); 2. Sexual harm (e.g. rape, sexual harassment); 3. Psychological harm (e.g. psychological abuse); 4. Controlling behavior (e.g. economic control, deprivation of liberty); 5. Threatened harm (e.g. threaten to do the above)
